A beautiful country house on a private lane, overlooking open fields. Arranged over 3 floors this is a bright, spacious house with a separate annexe, ideal as an additional home or office. In the heart of the village and 0.5 mile from the M40, this is commutable country living at its best.

Main house

The large, bright hallway is the hub of the home, connecting all ground floor rooms and the upper floors.

Ground floor

The two main living areas are the dual aspect living room with French doors overlooking the fields, perfect to enjoy the views and fresh air on summer days. The feature brick fireplace creates a warm, cosy living room on cold days and an ideal entertaining room.

The kitchen features a range oven and overlooks the side garden, leading to a utility room with access on to the lawn.

At the front of the house the dining room is exceptionally large with a bay window letting in plenty of light and a good sized study with high speed broadband available.

First floor

The master suite is exceptionally generous in size, with a dressing room and en-suite bathroom. Two further double bedroom and a family bathroom lead off the large landing area.

Second floor

The top floor includes two double bedrooms, one with a walk-in wardrobe, and another full bathroom. This floor is ideal as a dedicated space for children or guests.

‘Woodpeckers’

‘Woodpeckers’ is a charming detached annexe above the garages, across the gravel driveway from the main house. Perfect as independent accommodation or a self contained office, Woodpeckers has 591 sq ft of space including a double bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom.

Garages

The triple garage has electric doors and an open plan interior. This is a significant space with potential for conversion if desired (STPP).

Gardens

The gardens wrap around two sides of the property, overlooking miles of open fields and woodland within the Chiltern Hills Area of Natural Beauty. The gardens are the perfect place to watch wildlife and the changing seasons and enjoy the fresh country air.

Stockfield is perfectly situated at the end of a private lane just off the centre of Stokenchurch village. Surrounded by the Chiltern Hills Area of Natural Beauty, there are beautiful walks and cycling routes stretching for miles around.

Seller Insight

We were attracted to Stockfield for the lifestyle it offered us; the rural setting and views were the perfect escape from our busy working lives in London and Europe. It’s like living in your own private world, with everything you need in the village centre at the end of the road.

The house is very well built and the annexe was the best we’d seen – an elderly relative moved in to the annexe alongside us so it was important both homes afforded us all a good quality of life. It worked out perfectly, we all feel very comfortable and safe living here.

The living room is our favourite spot, in summer we have the doors open with uninterrupted views and lovely fresh air while the fire is really cosy in winter, especially at Christmas.

The master suite is wonderful; it’s comfortable, practical and wonderfully spacious. The top floor is similarly ideal for visitors, with two rooms and a bathroom there’s plenty of room and privacy for guests.

We’ve loved watching the seasons change around us; the views of the fields, woods and nature are very relaxing, as are the countryside walks around Stokenchurch. We’ve really had the best of both worlds here – we’re so close to everything we need yet when we’re at home we feel a million miles away.
